SAVE THE DATE: Fr. Peter Rinaldi Gala

Fr. Peter Rinaldi, SDB (1910-1993) was always known as a man who had vision. He was a real pastor who took an interest in each person, by name. He believed in the power of a Catholic school education, holding Corpus Christi School dear to his heart. It is said that he would make it his aim to visit at least twice a day and as a true father, engage in whatever was needed for the well-being of the children.

His life is remembered with fondness and gratitude, but most importantly, his memory is kept alive in each child that is able to benefit from that same Catholic education he believed in and so wanted for future generations. This is made possible through the Fr. Peter Rinaldi Gala, our primary fundraiser. Below is the information for our 10th annual event to which you are cordially invited:

Life Savers Camp

Many of the girls and boys who attend our Salesian Sisters’ Lifesavers Summer Program in Port Chester come from difficult circumstances. Summers need a place for our kids to go in a safe and happy environment where they can just be themselves.

Your gift of $150 delivers a week of exciting enrichment experiences, recreation, trips, and meals to a deserving child. Most important¬ly, our “campers” enjoy fun-filled academic opportunities like learning to make their own video game, robotics, fine arts, and exploring and researching the Hudson River shoreline.

The Lifesavers Summer Program at Corpus Christi- Holy Rosary School runs two weeks and will serve many boys and girls from Port Chester.

Corpus Christi-Holy Rosary School nurtures and develops our students’ needs and abilities, their faith and creativity with stimulating programs, a technology-rich environment and an uplifting Salesian experience.

The Annual Fund ensures that CCHRS can improve facilities, meet annual expenses, offer scholarships, and most importantly, implement new academic programs. The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math After-school enrichment program that raised scores and fostered a love of learning was made possible by the generosity of our alumni and friends.
